What to do if a friend is overdosing?
- Call 911 Immediately.
- Administer naloxone, if available.
- Try to keep the person awake and breathing.
- Lay the person on their side to prevent choking.
- Stay with the person until emergency assistance arrives.
What do I do if I find some pills?
Option 1 – To safely throw away unwanted or expired medication, take pills out of their original container, dissolve them in warm water and mix them with an undesirable substance such as kitty litter or coffee grounds. Put this mixture into a sealed bag and place in the garbage.
